Managing Director, The Good Food Institute of Asia Pacific
Elaine is the Managing Director, Asia Pacific at The Good Food Institute (GFI). GFI works with scientists, policymakers, corporates, investors, and entrepreneurs to accelerate growth of the plant-based and cell-based protein alternatives industries. Its operation has expanded from the US to Brazil, Israel, and India, and Elaine is currently establishing GFI’s work in the Asia Pacific region. Elaine is a lawyer-turned-social-entrepreneur with over 10 years experience in corporate and finance law, from IPO and M&A to structured products and investment funds.
CEO, Foodpanda APAC
Jakob has been the CEO of foodpanda APAC since January 2017. Jakob began his career within food delivery in Berlin but moved to Singapore in 2014 to head up foodpanda’s operations across Southeast Asia. In his current role he oversees the activities of Delivery Hero in the region, in a total of 10 countries. Prior to his work in the food delivery industry, Jakob spent five years at McKinsey & Company in Management Consulting & Strategy. He has core expertise in strategy and operations, which has helped to take foodpanda to the next level and continue challenging the status quo.
Jakob has an Insead MBA from Singapore and prior to this studied Physics at the Technical University of Munich.

Josh Magnuson is vice president and general manager of Food & Beverage (F&B) Asia Pacific for Ecolab Inc.A trusted partner at nearly three million customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. With annual sales of $15 billion and 49,000 associates, Ecolab delivers comprehensive solutions, data-driven insights and on-site service to promote safe food, maintain clean environments, optimize water and energy use, and improve operational efficiencies for customers in the food, healthcare, energy, hospitality and industrial markets in more than 170 countries around the world.
In his current role, Josh is responsible for leading the Food & Beverage business across Asia Pacific with a team of over 400 associates. Previously, Josh was vice president and general manager, F&B Latin America. Josh joined Ecolab in 2001 as a corporate microbiologist in RD&E. Over his 18-year tenure with Ecolab, he has held various positions within Marketing, RD&E, Global Commercial Solutions, and General Management.
Joshua holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, United States.
Caleb is the Chief Operating Officer of Zeemart, an online procurement platform for F&B businesses. Zeemart seamlessly allows buyers and suppliers to buy and transact, helping them to make smarter purchasing decisions. Caleb has more than 15 years of business experience. He specialises in helping companies to grow and scale through high-level strategic thinking, benchmarking, and the identification of challenges, opportunities and future capabilities required to achieve sustainable growth and market leadership. Before joining Zeemart, Caleb was EY Singapore’s SME Business Development Leader, specialising in serving clients from the middle market, including start-ups, SMEs, family businesses and local listed companies.
Editor-in-Chief, William Reed Business Media
Gary is the Editor-in-Chief of William Reed Business Media titles FoodNavigator-Asia and NutraIngredients-Asia. A journalist and editor for the past 12 years, Gary started his career as a newspaper journalist in UK, where he we went on to edit several regional titles and write for a number of national dailies. He first joined William Reed in 2011 as Editor of Food Ingredients, Health and Nutrition, and Associate Editor of Food Manufacture. After two years, Gary moved on to take over the editorship of global travel-retail business titles Duty Free News International and Travel Retailer International, before moving to Asia to lead the region-wide editorial teams for communications and advertising business publications PRWeek Asia and Campaign Asia-Pacific. He re-joined William Reed in August 2016 to open the company’s first Asia office in Singapore and manage the expansion of its food and nutrition coverage across the region.

Hailing from Lyon, France, Luc Andreani is the Managing Director of foodpanda Singapore, the largest food delivery service in Singapore. Combining his extensive e-commerce experience with market insights, he continues to push the boundaries of the local industry to achieve business growth by optimising user experience and developing long-term relationships with restaurant partners.
As part of global leader Delivery Hero, foodpanda now features over 6,000 restaurants on its platform island-wide and spearheads sustainability activities in the food delivery industry. By being the first ones to introduce the opt out of cutlery function, the platform is on track to save over 1,000,000 sets of plastic cutlery by the end of 2018.
